Do I Write Better Music When The Markets Are Falling?

I’m retired and in my spare time monitor and invest in the stock market. I find it quite a guilty pleasure and thoroughly love all the technical indicators and oscillators I get to play with.

My other passion is music. I have been playing for over 45 years and while I’m not any virtuoso, I am good enough. The interesting thing is the way I get obsessed and engulfed in the pleasure of following a trend or pattern with either of these wonderful distractions.

When things are good, my music is happier but there a some sad songs that enter into the conversation. When the markets are bad, I know I should be singing the blues but I find that the drama and dynamic nature of things makes me  animated and vibrant. Fascinating.

If you find your way here, please leave me a comment on who you are, and what brings meaning to you.  Thank you for stopping by!
